There are still enough games for Liverpool to make a come back and revive their league hopes for the season. With just 14 games already played in the league this season there are 24 more games to play which should be enough to get back into the game and still finish in top four. I am not so much concerned about Newcastle being in the top four position because I have a feeling they will have a bad form and drop points.
Newcastle this season are as good as ever, I see no prerequisites to miss the top 4. Liverpool still have a lot of games to play like all the teams in the Premier League, but I'm not sure if Tottenham or Newcastle will want to give their place, besides, I think ten Hag also has plans for the top 4 and he has a good team. Liverpool's chances of being in the top 4 are not that great, although there is a tendency for Klopp's teams to get the peak of their shape towards the end of the season, but whether this will help them I'm not sure.
With 24 matches remaining while Liverpool had already lost 4 matches and drew 4 match. With this statistics there is no hope for Liverpool to win the Premier league title for this year. Meanwhile there are alot of chances for Liverpool to be in the top4 because they are already in number 6 and played 1 match less than some other teams.
For Newcastle, I believe they will try their best to hook in the top 4 and not to slide off. The conclusion is that there will be while lots of competition when the league resumes.
