Luka has nothing to prove just to get the attention because he is already a star player and the best candidate for MVP this season. As an individual player, Luka is at the top 3, but he needs to win a championship first in order to be lined with the greats in NBA.

I see Luka is making a great adjustment, his teammates are getting better now and that resulted in a better team.
Luka this game against the Nuggets does not score so high, but look at the other factors, he still tallies a very impressive triple double. (10 rebounds, 12 assists, and 22 points)
I think you don't need to be a champion in the past just to win the MVP award because Jokic has never been a champion and he won the MVP award in 2 consecutive years. Luka needs to win more games in an outstanding performance and exceed his past records as well and score more points to be able to climb up and stay in the number 1 ranking for MVP. He has been playing very well since the start of the season and only in this game today did he score less than 30 points for their win.
Same with WB and Harden, they didn't win a title but a regular season MVP. Luka is not far from winning that MVP award/s he just needs to keep improving and have more winning games with outstanding performances.
I like the way he played the game and no doubt the young star is really doing everything for the
fans, his skill sets are extraordinary, just need more help as basketball is a team effort even you
are the best player if you don't have the right pieces inside your squad, winning a title will still
be far from you.

Luka is a great player. But to win titles you need to have a good team. Having only one really capable player on the team is not going to be enough to win a title. And that’s why I believe even though this 23-year-old is on his way to greatness, he is still going to need a team. A team that will be able to support him well as well as have excellent chemistry between them.

Yes, Luka is someone who can contribute to the team on a regular basis. But he will need players to back him up whenever he is having an off day.
