Santos is one of the most underrated coaches of our time (or the last decade). And yesterday his plan worked great. I think it was not to change Ronaldo at the end, but to do the opposite, release him after the first half, and start the game at a high pace with high pressure. Who knew that the pressure would be so successful and that Switzerland would not be ready for high speeds. As a result, Ronaldo was released into the phase of the game when it was actually completed and Portugal played to keep the score. I think in the game with Morocco he will be in the first team.
CR7 has a bad attitude towards the others which leads him to be sanctioned in a way or another. There was some tensions between him and the staff but it was resolved tho. I am not sure if he will be picked to play vs Morocco since the beginning but I am pretty sure that he will not play full-time.
