My initial thoughts were England had a bat start and we're not able to give a big target to Pakistan. After seeing Pakistani batter struggling to score single runs I think the English batters did a good job. Pakistan has already lost two wickets and the good part here is that Babar Azam is still playing and hopefully he will score his half century. I still feel before the days ends England bowlers will be able to get another wicket which might not help Pakistan tomorrow.
It's too early to say about Pakistan batting performance. On stumps day 1, Pakistan are 107/2 and positive thing for Pakistan is that Babr Azam is not out on 61 runs along with Saud who is playing on 32. It seems that Pakistan will get to England total of 281 if Babr Azam remain on the crease for next 2 session.
Babar Azam hits a captain's knock. After Abrar Ahmed's debut seven-wicket haul, Pakistan dominated the first day despite losing two wickets. Babar with the bat is obviously the star of the day, followed by Abrar Ahmed. Now it's time for the batters to go big with their bats. I hope that Pakistan's next morning will be a great day for them. Indeed, a great test match in progress.
