The scenario is like always the same in the recent years. Bayern Munich take the lead and win an easy championship. Dortmund follow them right behind and Leipzig - Freiburg - Leverkusen trio share the positions right below. This season is a little more different of course. Some teams are not having a good season.
Leverkusen started the season really horrible. They are still far away from the top positions now. Xabi Alonso's arrival has started to change something by the recent weeks though. They won their last three games. But their road is really full of obstacles until reaching top 4. I have big doubts about their making it there.
Yes it is like that, but now there are several clubs ready to compete for the top 4. It's a bit more difficult for Borussia Dortmund as they have to fight their way back to 2nd place in the standings like they did in the previous season. They are eager to push their way up to the top 4 by returning to their declining performance lately. RB Leipzig and Freiburg will remain the favorites to be in the Champions League zone, but they must not forget Frankfurt which is under pressure, as well as Union Berlin which still has many opportunities to provide very tough competition. As for Leverkusen, they have to maximize themselves because now they are far below.
