Australia vs West Indies series is a completely one-sided series. We are only seeing the dominance of Australia. West Indies are performing very badly both in batting and bowling. Although I did not think that West Indies would win before the series, my guess was that West Indies would be able to fight back. But like the first match, the performance of the West Indies players in the second match was very poor.
West Indies are batting at the target of 497 runs given by Australia. And so far they have managed to collect only 42 runs. and lost four wickets. Today is just the fourth day of play. So West Indies is definitely going to be defeated.
In the end, West Indies managed just 77 runs while losing all their wickets. Australia won by 419 runs and took the series 2-0. In terms of runs, this was Australia's biggest victory over the West Indies. It's an embarrassment. There hasn't been a series won by WI in recent years. There is an increasing sense of direness as West Indies cricket begins to plunge deeper into an abyss. It is hard to expect anything more from a team that is mentally prepared to lose even before the game begins.
Enjoying these series is just a waste of time. It was a completely one-sided series. West Indies should have organized the Test series against Bangladesh. They should not play Tests against big teams like Australia or England. I would have been happy if West Indies had organized a 5-match T20 series against Australia. Because West Indies are still strong enough in T20 series and they can win against Australia too. ICC should not organize such one-sided series. As a result, the general audience will lose interest in cricket.
