Maybe 40 is correct when get it almost in 42. which mean no one here is got perfect 23/23 answered.
Your information is correct, the Bitcoin whitepaper is translated into 40 languages when it is published. This 9-page whitepaper was later translated into two more languages. As a result the total number of languages should be 42 but the exact answer is not given here.
But for the secret purposes for the Quiz contest I can't comment my correct answer here.
