Any decent investor with at least half of a brain could easily research Bitcoin's interesting history if he/she wanted to. It just depends on the person if he/she'll research it extensively, or just join in on the hype(mostly at pico tops).
Probably, although actually grasping why Bitcoin was created is probably beyond a lot of investors. I don't think most of the investors are in Bitcoin because they fundamentally support why it was created. They're in it because it has proven in the past to make a lot of swings. I think that's the reality that we're facing unfortunately.
If people grasped why it was created in the first place, they'd probably be far more than speculative investors, and likely turn into advocates for Bitcoin.
