Thou, the price of Bitcoin plays an important role, but I don't think any good investor will go into a project he/she has little or no knowledge about, as that will be the worst mistake ever to make. Moreover, It's true when Bitcoin started, it never got much attention as of today, as those who knew about it, never believed in it, while those who believed in it, never thought it could last this long, as many thoughts it was another form of ponzi scheme, not until 2017 when people got involved and started to fully understand how crypto and Bitcoin actually works.
