Myth 3: Underage children can gamble online.
Fact: Most casinos demand KYC (Know-Your-Customer). This protects children from access to underage gambling.
This is not a myth, it's half a fact because some kids are getting away by it using the information of their adult friends or relatives for KYC.
Also, there are gambling sites that the doesn't have it. Just a mere initial question of "Are you 18 or above?" then if you pick yes, you can enter.
Myth 5: You have to gamble very frequently to be considered a gambling addict
Fact: A gambling addict may gamble more or less often. Gambling is an addiction if it causes problems in your life, regardless of how often you gamble.
Correct, I gamble daily but I don't consider myself a gambling addict. Simply, when there's no game to bet on for the day, I don't really mind. I just relax and wait for the next day. Addicts will always find a way to spend their money even if it's an unknown game to them.
Myth 6: Having a gambling problem is just a case of being weak-willed, irresponsible, or unintelligent.
Fact: Gambling addictions can affect anyone of all backgrounds. Even people who used to be responsible and strong-willed are just as likely to develop a gambling addiction as anyone else, even people with higher educations or higher social status.
For me, it's always about the mentality. I stopped smoking years ago, I change my gambling way years ago too as it damages my budget for the month.
Now, I am healthier and a casual gambler. It's all in the brain.
