Some gamblers could be lucky and good at gambling but the majority of the gamblers are actually losing money, which makes the operators profitable. Sports betting and casino, are a type of gambling that the operators have the edge over us, otherwise, this industry will not survive, especially for sports betting which is a big industry as there are lots of sports bettors all over the world.
That's true. No one can escape the house's edge. It's too obvious not to see but gamblers usually don't mind. As long as there's a window of opportunity to make some money with just simply guessing or analyzing the game then it will be worth the bet.
Years ago, I spend too much time trying to analyze a dice game, but there was just no good strategy there unless you have deep pockets (martingale), unlike in sports there's so much room to win a bet than in dice where it's usually luck-based or system based.
Sports gambling is not just about luck anymore because there are statistics written in the paper.
