Any top-five team can win the English Premier League title but it all depends on their performance. Currently, Arsenal has been outstanding, winning some important games and the team has shown much quality and character. But we must not also forget that Arsenal sometimes acts inconsistently. It is not strange to see the team start losing points drastically, but we expect that they would keep staying on top till the end of the season. City and Liverpool are teams that have always portrayed a never-give-up spirit. They have the character of coming from behind and fighting to clinch the title. Nobody ever imagined that Liverpool would be a title contender last season after their poor run at the beginning of the season. We shouldn't also forget Newcastle United because this team has the right players, coach, and money-spending owners.
Liverpool's problem is that they are starting the second season very poorly and these feats at the end of the season are not what is expected from a team of fans. This time, feats will probably not help them, the gap from the leaders is very large. Arsenal are unexpectedly at the top of the league and have everything to try to keep their lead, although Jesus' injury could be a problem. City are not playing as confidently as they used to be, this is so good for Arsenal.
I am disappointed in Liverpool's performance this season, even though I have high hope for the club because of their previous performance, but this season Liverpool have under perform largely to the point that their push is far around the top 5 on the premier league table.
Just like Manchester City who has consistently performed well since the last season even though Arsenal has overthrown them as a top club on the table but as the second face of the premier league, man city will reclaim its position on this season.
Liverpool will have to improve their performance. For some reason, I dont see any coordination between the players of the Liverpool squad. And the tactics also seem like it is never working. I dont know why this is happening because the last season they were performing really well. They did go into the World Cup break with two back-to-back wins.
But before that, they were really inconsistent. I think, as a result, they have lost matches that really shouldn't have been lost.
If they cannot perform well, it is really good news for Arsenal because that is one less competition for them. Right now Arsenal are the leaders of the English Premier League table. But I dont know for how long that is going to be the case.
