Messi is not known to anyone outside of Barcelona (without Xavi and Iniesta, to put it bluntly) while Ronaldo has succeeded everywhere. I dont know the history (the real story with the naughty Blatter and other actors) of this phenomenon, but Messis PR has been at a deafening level since his very appearance in football, and many succumbed to it.
You are completely right, I think that Messi seriously needs the players of a team to play for him as Inisesta, Xavi, Dani Alves did at Barcelona as he was before, the formation of CR7 has been different, he has been a player who he has been forged not only because of his talent, it is above all from being a soccer player an athlete, that is why he has always shown to have a very great performance, however some are criticizing him a lot because he no longer performs like before, but no I think it is his physique that is failing, nor is his age, I think that for now he has many things to heal in terms of his personal problems, but for me CR7 is much superior to Messi, in part Messi is always helped even on the pitch, not CR7.
