I think Newcastle should focus more on clinching top 4 position of the league this season, then the next target should be winning the league after beefing up their squad with more quality players in the summer transfer window, if they wanted to focus on winning the league this season they might ended up not finishing on a good position, EPL is a very tough and competitive league, it's better a club set target and meet up with the target for that season rather than chase shadows, I am not undermining the strength and quality of the club, based on past records a newly well funded clubs do perform well after one or two seasons in the league.
The way Newcastle have been performing this season is truly amazing. They are third in the table. And perhaps they have only lost one match this season. Newcastle have no star players. Due to the good bond between the team players, they have been able to maintain the consistency of their performance. But I would say if Newcastle want to qualify for the Champions League they need to strengthen their squad. The team should bring star players. Newcastle's owner is very rich. But we don't know yet whether they are interested in spending money to strengthen the team.
Newcastle should stay focus to be among the top four,this should be their target because I don't see them winning the league but with their quality and good players anything can happen. Arsenal is already topping the table and will not give chance to Newcastle, they are targeting to be this season EPL winner which they have been working towards tirelessly.
Next week we can begin to see if these clubs can be consistent with their previous performance before the world cup or not. Transfer windows will also help in boosting up some clubs as new players will be bought and this can be an advantage to clubs that were not performing well before the world cup.
Newcastle United did only lose one match this season so far. But at the same time, they have six draws. I can say that some of those letters should really not have been a draw. Those matches should have been losses for Newcastle United.
Newcastle United has certainly improved. They have three matches to win the competition resumes, against mid-table teams. But after that, they are going to face Arsenal. I dont know if they will be able to win that match against Arsenal. If they bring a draw that is going to be a good enough result for them in my opinion. But the way Arsenal is playing, I do not think Arsenal will ever go for a draw in that match.
Arsenal also has two quite easy matches before they face Newcastle United. So they will not use their full strength in those matches and will try to win against Newcastle United at any cost.
