Well, on an optimistic note I want to say that I know and have known throughout my life people who had complicated heart operations, in some cases several, and came out without sequelae, living many years later and dying at almost 90 years of age, like an uncle of mine, or people I still know. I do not know anyone who has had a heart transplanted, though, which I understand adds a degree of difficulty.

Best wishes to yahoo62278 in this regard.

Another thing is that it is logical and rational, to consider what happens if it goes wrong and leave things prepared in case it does. None of us really like to think about it but it is the best thing to do.
