I don't know about 2024. But as far as 2022-23 is concerned, he remains as the best Portuguese player (you can disagree with me). I am not denying the fact that Portugal has a bunch of younger guys looking forward to replace Ronaldo in the squad, including João Félix, Rafael Leão and Bernardo Silva. But my take is that none of these players have the ability to single-handedly win the matches for their team. Ronaldo maybe out of form right now, but his class is permanent. I am sure that he will regain his form soon and make an impact during the Euro 2024.
I don't sure with Cristiano Ronaldo opportunity participant in UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany trough he still not get new club right now, Portugal has many young player from João Félix, Rafael Leão and Bernardo Silva, then what for expecting with Cristiano Ronaldo after has underperformance in World Cup 2022?
Ronaldo still have highest values for media and sponsorship but I am little disagree if Portugal need him due many young and potential player list having right now. Still depending with new Portugal manager, like with Cristiano Ronaldo or not? he has potential return to Portugal national team in Euro 2024 but have more contribution for his new team later.
