I don't think the world cup would be interesting like this. They should have just left it for just one country to host. Well, let's see how it goes. As for the the 48 teams instead of 32, I like it. It would make it possible for more countries to be part of the tournament. The world cup is always an interesting tournament no matter what but it's going to be really difficult to see a world cup more interesting than the one we just had in Qatar. I'm a big fan of the world cup and I always anticipate it. I hope the next one proves me wrong and becomes more interesting than that of Qatar.
I do had the same thought. Just for twenty matches adding two more countries isn't needed. Those 20 matches in Mexico and Canada isn't gonna make any big contribution to the nations. Qatar have done with perfection, but human lives lost during the process hasn't received proper compensation. Anyhow USA will try to make it better than the World Cup in Qatar. As one of the user mentioned the Visa process will surely be a hindrance for football fans around the world to reach USA for watching the matches.
Sometimes we might assume that four years is a long time but before you know what going on we are already in the world cup year. I am very pleased Africa would have more slots and hopefully, my country would be able to qualify for this great tournament. Sadly, most of the world's greatest footballers might not be available for the next world cup but within the next few years, we might start having a new crop of world-class footballers.
The world cup has a way of forcing countries to make their visa requirements or immigration policy more flexible. The US and other co-host would reduce their entry requirements. Qatar did a good job but I am sure the performance of the US would be far better.
