Imo, a small group of people here do help, though.
That's what kept me here, actually.
But for me, learning to deal with toxicity in a constructive way was THE most beneficial experience around here.
Not engaging with trolls is a simple way to keep focused at the funny side of WO, but it got way more grumpy and stupid here in the last few years, while highly valued contributors left the ship. This is a shitty but steady development.
