You have to do a very deep research, be very imaginative and have insider information about the future of the project.

We hear about new stores every day.  Yet none of us ever thinks the small new lollipop store that just opened up will become the largest candy store in the world.  When Bitcoin was small and unknown, nobody wanted it.  Nobody thought it really can not be stopped and eventually becomes really scarce and demanded.

Electric cars also existed a very long time ago.  They were just not demanded enough to start creating Tesla's and other Electric Vehicles.

Nobody knew electric cars will be demanded at some point.  Otherwise every body bought EV stocks long before they became demanded.  But they are now demanded more than ever because of global warming.  Everyone heard about global warming but nobody thought it would eventually cause a huge demand for solar panels and EV's.  Because everyone had other priorities at the time.  They did not think of what will be successful when global warming becomes a global priority.

Netflix tried to solve an issue.  So did Amazon.  So did Facebook and Twitter.  They are solutions their founders found to problems of the future.  The comfort of staying at home and watching movies instead of going to the cinema.  The comfort of sitting in bed and Amazon delivery truck driver calling you to let you know your parcel has been left at the door.  Et cetera.

So be imaginary.  Envision the future and see what solutions you can find to the problems we are about to endure that are still not demanded yet.  To me, a big issue of the future will be Privacy.  So I truly believe there will be a huge demand for Privacy solutions in the future.  They are not demanded today.  They are blamed and disregarded.  But this is my vision.  It does not mean I am right.  Maybe this will not come true.
