The absence of Gabriel Jesus was starting to be felt for Arsenal, Mikel Arteta played Eddy Nkentiah to fill Jesus' position. During the course of the match Nkentiah appeared less than optimal, Arteta also had no other attacking options on the bench. Arsenal appeared dull against Newcastle despite controlling the match, the difficulty of penetrating the back area of a team that has a solid defense seemed to be an alarm for Arsenal to hunt for new players in the transfer market this winter. I never thought Eddie Nketiah will be able to fill in for Gabriel Jesus in the attacking lineup but so far he has been really impressive and has produced two goals in three outings so far. I think Arsenal are still lacking more options in their attack and need new additions in theur attack to boost and strengthen their attack. Good a thing this draw doesn't bring them down to from the first position, it's no big deal just some lessons to take home and build on.
It looks like Eddie Nketiah still needs stronger chemistry and bonds between players, he performed quite well in his two matches with The Gunners. unfortunately, Nketiah was unable to take advantage of the opportunities he had to convert them into goals during the Newcastle match. I'm pretty sure, Nketiah can be relied on on the front lines of The Gunners in the future. at least, Nketiah still needs time to become a sharp sticker.
Even so, Arsenal should have been able to overthrow Newcastle in yesterday's match, it's a shame they missed so many opportunities. but after all, Arsenal played full of high confidence and their mentality is getting more solid. Next, Arsenal will have an away game at the Spurs headquarters. I remain optimistic that the Gunners' young squad will continue their positive trend to widen the gap between the points with Manchester City.
on the other hand, I hope Mudryk will be brought in by Emirates Stadium soon.
