Nah, no matter what I've posted about my position in this particular ranking, I don't--and never have--seen it as a competition.  In fact, I'm glad there are quite a few members who are regularly sending out more merits than I am.  If I was consistently leading the list, I think the merit system would be in trouble.

And I would add that many of them are obviously dedicated to their "job", which I find admirable.  Newer members might not understand why this system exists or how important it is or appreciate what merit sources (and all the other members who pay their earned sMerits forward) do for the health of the forum.  I think the system and everyone participating in it is crucial to keeping shitposting down, so I thank everyone who merits posts they think are good.
