Barcelona is still firmly at the top of the Laliga standings
Their performance is still quite good, we can see their statistics in Laliga since the start of the season. I realize Manchester United have come a long way lately but that happened in the EPL. Erik Ten Hag needs to mentally prepare his players because next month they will face teams from other leagues like Barcelona, this will of course be different from their opponents in the EPL
The interesting thing here is Barcelona is very strong in Laliga because they mostly win in this league, but if you look their result on Champions League, they mostly lose and draw only. While Manchester United are quite stable in Premier League and Europa League, they mostly win although some matches they're losses. But Champions League is really hard, so it's not really surprised to see Barcelona doesn't good in that league.
But I think Barcelona will win because they have well rounded player rather than Manchester United that only better in terms of goalkeeper and strikers.
Though Manchester United still needs more creative Midfielders, I will not say that their midfield is bad. But it is wrong to say that Manchester United is on doing well in terms of attack and goalkeeper. A team that has won their last 5 matches with 4 clean shit, conceding just one goal, is enough to be tagged a good defensive team. If I am to compare each team's arms between the Manchester United squad and Barcelona, I will say that Manchester United has a better defensive line than Barcelona. The both have good attackers but barca has more creative midfielders. Therefore man united is much more rounded.
