One thing that I learned about any kind of a future that involves human behavior, it cannot be completely summarized by/through the maths - even when some folks strive to make such pigeonholenings, they will frequently end up getting their numbers wrong because the maths end up NOT being the whole of the accounting that is required in order to best estimate how the future will evolve.
