Serious question: Exactly who is going to receive the price if events like these win out (which I'm sure FTX will easily do for this category)?

In every category in which a physical winner is possible (remember last year).
For obvious reasons, the awards do not apply to such categories as "Fail of the Year" and "Event of the Year". 
Obviously, while writing my previous post (similar to you too, lol), I did not take into account the fact that, if FTX Drama will win at Fail of the Year section, nobody will know at their door to handle them 12mBTC, right? 
Same happens for all cases where technically it is impossible to physically offer a prize. I'm talking about nominations like "Luna crash", "CSW", "Bitcoin Pizza Day", "Ethereum merge", "World Cup Qatar" etc.
