probably is better rank older user in a higher position.
i've a score about 2 in post/merit ratio becouse i'm new and active yesterday and today. 2 days ago i had a ratio about 4 only becouse i only had created some threads but never been active in comments.

Is much less probable recive lots of merits in comments then as thread creator (just for views), Could be nice try to create a good alghoritm for ranking users not only for the pure ratio but also with those elements.
