I think Man United's performance is slightly better than Barcelona, where in their last 7 matches Man United always won, while Barcelona had to draw 2 times and win 5 times. Man United also managed to score 17 goals and only conceded 3 goals, while Barcelona created 16 goals and conceded 9 goals. The numbers above are not a guarantee for a victory because there are indeed other factors that have a big influence on a match. But those statistics can still be considered that Man United is currently having a better trend than Barcelona, and of course, they have a chance to beat Barcelona.
And I also have come to full agreement with you that Manchester United are not slightly but currently better than Barcelona in terms of the current form of the both sides. We haven't really scored a lot of goals but the defense has improved with Harry Maguire also been dropped on the bench.
If same tactical intelligence from Erik Ten Hag would be used same way against Barcelona, they're of no match to us ( Manchester United ) completely. My scare has to be Pedri, Gavi, Dembele and Robert Lewandoski the rest can be well handled, but if according to Ten Hag the team are together, they have a chance to win Barcelona during the play off next month.
