I always thought it smelled a lot like MF Global and Jon Corzine who seems to have a get out jail free card too after disappearing $billion+ of customer funds used for commodity futures trades. Notice how this was the top of the commodity market like MtGox funds disappearing was the top of the Bitcoin market! If you have no buyers, because they have no access to their funds, the price can only go down. So I have to wonder if confiscating customer funds might be the ultimate way commodity/Bitcoin markets are kept under control.
