I wouldn't count on getting a specific criteria to get a local board because I don't think that Nigerians got it either, and if you think about it its even better not to have it as it may get abused. The most important thing is to keep being active in both your local topic and your request to get one and eventually you will get your own local board. Just don't get disheartened if it doesn't happen in the next few months because as we noticed, this procedure may take some time.
Yes, we asked for the same thing out of curiosity, but we didn't get any response from theymos or any direct response from the staffs, so we kept going, ignoring some of the comments we received on our request thread, where some members told us that it was impossible because English is the official language of Nigerians and the Pidgin cannot be translated, making it difficult to moderate such a board. We eventually decided to lock our official local board request thread and stick to our single local thread. We received the local board when we least expected it. all the best Pakistan!!!!
Has anyone from Pakistan contacted Theymos and Cyrus yet?
That is the most frustrating part of not getting any response from the mods on when we will get the local board or what further needs to be done in order to get the local board. It happened with you (Nigerian board) too that you never got the response until one day you find out that you have been awarded a local board.
Don't know what is the purpose of this silence by the mods.
