Though Pmalek’s case was resolved in a simple manner (Charles-Tim deleted a post that was in fourth place within the thread, thus Pmalek was able to have three posts in a row to do what he needed to do), there are prior cases where it has been done. The basis for it to be feasible is described here, and pivots around finding a deleted post with an Id in the adequate range (between the two posts it should be inserted on a given thread). It involves a bit of mumble jumble that only Admins can do at database level.
