The active players who claim the bonus are usually the ones who lose it again. You can find enough evidence for that in the shoutbox. For them it's just another bullet... which probably attracts them again to deposit more. Because at some point you have to win - at least that's what they tell themselves.
That inactive accounts or accounts that no longer actively play there get the bonuses anyway I know and I have never claimed otherwise in my posts before?
I'm one of the players who are no longer active on Stake but claim the bonuses. My statement was simply that I do not get the alleged minimum of 25$ because I no longer wager money.

I don't understand why you're saying that, you haven't said in your post that you are still claiming the bonuses so I don't see how I could guess it. How you didn't realize that post-monthly bonuses don't depend on your wagering volume btw? Moreover you didn't tell you were just surprised by the amount received, you said that you are surprised he "still get at least something". Anyway, despite your new explanations I still think you're wrong because I don't think active players are more likely to make a deposit they wouldn't have made without bonus than inactive ones. I think the exact opposite actually, so for me it makes sense this way.
