I think web3 is the future. Most people believe that Web3 will reshape the boundaries of real and digital space economic and social activities, and promote the integration of physical and digital industries. I also support this view. For the Internet, various countries are vigorously developing. The decentralized internet is also gaining popularity.
I think the one that you are talking about there is already a metaverse and not a web 3 anymore as web 3's definition is only about decentralized internet but if Bitcoin (decentralized crypto) is the future of currencies or payment methods then maybe you are right that web 3 (decentralized internet) is also the future of the internet but just like the Bitcoin who have a lot of haters, web 3 might also have it for the same reason that they can't control it and that is why many people will still stick with the old web 2 internet, the same with how they choose fiat currencies over Bitcoin as it is more legal and widely accepted by the governments.
