Cancelo had a great debut for the 71 minutes he played, he quickly showed what he can do when he crossed to assist Choupo-Moting in the 17th minute to open the scoring for Bayern munich, and he had a good game until he was substituted. It is just a loan for now but i feel bayern fans would want their club to sign Cancelo at the end of the season, even though the fee to make the move permanent is kind of high. Bayern have not had a good start to 2023, maybe they can build on this victory against Mainz in the DFB-Pokal and also defeat Wolfsburg in the bundesliga on Sunday.
This victory may at the same time indicate that Bayern Munich is ready to return to the Bundesliga competition after the unsatisfactory results they received in the last few matches. Of course this is a good result for them because in this match they look more prepared than before, yes, even though their opponent is not a very tough opponent so they cannot apply very significant pressure which can make it difficult for Bayern Munich.
