Numbers are an abstraction. They in no way fit reality. All they do is quantify and qualify things that we are looking at so, that we can name them. And if we use the numbers incorrectly, we build flaws into the things we quantify and qualify.

There are no numbers in nature until we start to quantify and qualify it.
