Also in Africa (Nigeria) banned the use of cryptocurrency, USA and so on but the good news is that Bitcoin has come to stay, we keep pushing, we keep moving, we doing what we know how to do best.
It is important to differentiate between a ban and restriction. Banning bitcoin generally means that bitcoin transactions is forbidden in a particular country. While restrictions entails making some laws that limits the smooth operation of bitcoin. Like in Nigeria while everyone is free to use bitcoin as money or investment banks and government agencies cannot transact with the coin.

If the government of any nations like let them banned or reject the use of Bitcoin, bitcoiners still remains strong as one community, one people, one mindset, we are not going to give up on bitcoin until every nations pulling out comes back to it and bitcoin will accepted legally and globally.
Government policies can affect bitcoin positively or negatively. If the government is friendly, bitcoin awareness and usage will also increase. El Salvador is currently a Bitcoin hub , thanks to a bitcoin friendly President Bukele. The development of Bitcoin in some countries have also been hampered because of lack of basic amenities such as electricity and the internet. The government of El Salvador have invested so much on internet connections and it has also increased bitcoin usage. The point I am trying to make is that we shouldn't pretend that we don't need government support.
But if they government fail to support, bitcoiners will always find thier way around the law. I am sure bitcoin will gain more ground in different countries but I don't expect that every nation of the world will one day become bitcoin friendly. There might always be critics and haters.
