Today we get a message from the manager of my current signature (Stake), and somehow they detected users abusing with AI posts, they will not pay for those posts and they will add some new rules in the campaign to avoid users posting with AI tools.
I hope they use AI-generated text detector responsibly. Even OpenAI say such tool shouldn't be trusted blindly.
Our classifier has a number of important limitations. It should not be used as a primary decision-making tool, but instead as a complement to other methods of determining the source of a piece of text.

I've seen some really hilarious DAN's responses posted, but I think they've already "patched" it up and neutered it. Sad. We really need an open-source version of this, especially when there are rumours that they will hide it behind a paywall at some point.
User @NotATether mention open-source/self-hosted option is available.
I am not sure why you copied or worked on a model which does not even exist as written by you " a month ago". BTW, OPEN AI was free before you did that and it is still free but you won't get access to it whenever you want to! I am not sure why you started promoting Davinci-003 (which I have no clue about) as there are many ways to get access to a premium AI content generator. I know such a thing as I am aware of how my students are getting things done.
Actually, davinci-003 was launched sometime in late November:
https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33780720 and I started using this cli in January.
The reason I switched to a model that will charge me bills is because I kept getting gated by Cloudflare's bot captcha, and it was detrimental to my ability to access ChatGPT through a browser.
I'm not using it as a content generator, but rather as a Q/A search engine.
