The same thing happened to my report from few days ago, post deleted and plagiarizing user not banned. I know that forum activity dropped significantly, but is the situation so bad that that shitposters nowadays can paraphrase someone else's post from the same topic and walk away without any consequences whatsoever? Imho its even worse than straight copy/paste because he obviously knew that what he was doing is wrong but he thought that he can get away with it if he spins a couple of words. In the end he was right I guess.

I mean, I know that higher ranking accounts are less likely to get any sort of punishment for plagiarizing, but is bar set so low that now even a shitposter with 28 activity and 12 merits is considered to be a net positive for the forum so its better to keep him? I can only imagine how quality members who got perma banned for copy/pasting one sentence when they were Newbies would feel if they see how situation changed. While that was wrong and overkill, I don't think that this leniency is good either.
