Electrum often crashes for me too, on my desktop. It happens right after broadcasting a transaction from a hardware wallet, and I've reproduced it with different versions on different (Linux) systems.
I have never seen that on my end, but I use Windows, so it might be a compatibility issue between Electrum and your Linux distros. To make things worse, maybe it also involves some hardware you are using.Quote

That would be a bit extreme, I never consider Windows an option
