Basically that's because not a lot of people were interested to a meme coin that bares more risk than investing to an alt that has a real case value which doesn't only base on hype solely.
Putting your money on a meme coin that has yet to make a sound in the crypto market are like betting on a lottery and hoping you'll be lucky enough to see a Shiba-like popularity, hype, and pump. Well, that's not gonna be an easy quest though.
That type of risk on something that is based on a meme itself is not really a smart decision. Doge was basically the name of the meme, and shiba was the type of dog the meme was based on, hell there was floki that was based on the shiba dog that elon musk owns. All of these made no sense, of course there are other projects which are not based on meme and still failed, there is no denying that. But that doesn't mean that we should be taking this type of risk, doesn't really make any sense at all.

I personally prefer a situation where I could end up making some sort of money based on a project that actually promises me something solid, maybe that will fail too but at least I would be looking at a roadmap that is serious and not based on a joke.
