What do you mean exactly by confidential? I'm not sure if this is a technical term I'm just not familiar with, but if you mean transactions which don't appear on the Blockchain or somehow obfuscated? Doing that, would go against the fundamentals of having a public ledger like the Blockchain.

There's a few alternative coins that provide something similar, although those are privacy focused coins. Whereas, Bitcoin prioritizes verifiability, and integrity over privacy. Although, that's not to say Bitcoin isn't focused on privacy either, just in a different way to conventional money systems.
