If $300 worth of bitcoin is given to someone who doesn't have a job and have been looking for opportunity to invest in bitcoin.  Will it be possible for the person to focus on this investment without selling at the moment because of the present financial situation. I'm asking this question because of people who wish to gift bitcoin to people who are going through difficult financial challenge,  is there any need to give bitcoin as gift to people who need money to settle urgent financial problems.

Or bitcoin should only be given to those who can truly invest and yield profits.  Can you gift bitcoin to random people who may not make profit from it.
There's nothing wrong in helping others. In this case, you want to give Bitcoin to somebody that doesn't have a job and want to use Bitcoin to settle their financial problems right? It's good, but there's a better option for that and it's kind off contradicting that you said on your first sentence that "someone want to invest into Bitcoin" while in the final sentence, you said that someone will use Bitcoin "to settle urgent financial matters". Which is which?

If you will giving that $300 worth of Bitcoin to somebody and decided to hold it then good, but if you will give $300 worth of Bitcoin to somebody and then he will just use it for financial problems then it might be better if you will just give him straight cash. No hassle of converting and cashing out etc.

Bitcoin can be given to anyone without any discrimination whatsoever. You can give Bitcoin to a beggar on the side of the street waiting for anybody to give them money. You can give it to your children if you wanted to. Why hand-pick somebody? It will now depend on the receiver if how will he use that Bitcoin. Will he convert that Bitcoin and buy some stuff? Will he hold it and take profit a few years from now?
