I don't know but for me such moves where a sports director is basically firing his coach in order to become the coach himself always has a kind of a bitter taste to me. Even though on paper the director of sports has obviously more power i still think that the position of coach is way more attractive to most people because as a coach you are way more in the spotlight of the media. Maybe it is different in this case because Dieter Hecking already had several stations as head coach and i doubt that he just wanted to be coach to get some attention again as i don't think that he even wants to have attention anymore. So far the change was successful as FCN finally have won a game again.
I do not see that as a problem. I think the sports director is even taking a very big risk. Because if it does not work with him either, then he will also be questioned. If he only works as a coach for a few match days, that would be okay. But if he works as a coach until the end of the season, like Hecking, then he is also completely responsible.
