I know it looks bad ATM, but they do seem hopeful for that set of upgrades that are coming with that race. As they mentioned, they already froze the current design of the MCL60 about a month or two ago, because they realized that they wouldn't get what they were aiming at aerodynamically, which is why they're looking for that race as it will probably represent a drastic change in philosophy for that segment.
I've only seen the first day of pre-season and I've stopped there. I think that the first two races will tell much more than the test would do.
Plus, if Mercedes is so far behind, I kinda doubt Aston Martin would be
that close.
I hope that the gaps (overall) are not that big and that we'll see some nice racing. I'm curious if Oscar or Nyck will perform some miracles on the grid; I wish they will
