Greetings,
The idea is approximately ot reduce of BitcoinTalk account load in term of space and speed ⏩ on the server and also by implementing the idea will help to save space, money and increase the website load time.
ldeawhile searching for some topic we found many post related to "Banned/Block" user who are no longer part of this forum, and deleting the banned user data/record will save a lot of space and also reduce the record per search term. This will also there will be fewer record in the Database and the query will be expected fast.
Note÷ you can create a backup of files in case ones may need it in the future.
Some things I'd say to this:
* I think that some (many!) of those posts
are supposed to stay. Else the user would be nuked (and then his posts are indeed deleted) instead of banned.
* By your logic, if somebody is banned by mistake and gets reinstated, a revert or some sort of merge would be needed. Unpleasant.
* I'm far from certain that removing those posts would bring so much of a speed increase: I expect users table and posts table be separated.
* Sooner or later we should migrate to new forum software, so drastic changes are expected to
not happen here. But sadly this takes much longer than most have expected.
