Barcelona players are not available. Most of their best players are out injured. They are without Lewandoski, Dembele, Pedri, Christensen and Gavi for the match against Valencia tomorrow due to a suspension. They are just seven points ahead of Madrid at the moment and a loss to Valencia will reduce that to four points if Madrid wins against Betis. Now here is the tricky part, Barca will play Bilboa next and we all know how much of a pain in the ass Bilboa can be to Barcelona. After Bilboa they will play Real Madrid. So if Barcelona don't handle the next three matches they have very well they could find themselves just one point ahead of Madrid or worst, below Madrid. They can only hope for Madrid to keep been inconsistent in the league.
I don't know what to think of Real Madrid after they lost the last Elclassico with Barcelona but looking at the first and second leg, I think it's a settled match since Real Madrid won the first leg while Barcelona won the second leg both away matches, how hilarious this turned out.
Real Madrid should be able to win against Betis because Fekir would be absent in that match and looking at their recent matches, they are lagging behind and that should secure 3 point for Madrid if they are serious. However, the question is, will Barcelona afloat in one place to see Real Madrid comes close to them, they will likely win Valencia even as their good squad is injured.
The condition is that anything can still happen but on the other hand Madrid now have to try harder than before because now their strategy has been read and of course this won't be good because if things like this continue to be done then their chances are slim now.
Ancelotti needs to make something new because it is clear that if they still maintain their current strategy then Barcelona will still be the favorites for both Leg 2 of the Copa del Rey and La Liga.
