It's interesting to see people share their opinion without understanding the nuance of a situation
We have seen claims of "holding BTC hostage" on our website.
I would take the time to clarify and point out some valuable details. Betnomi is not just a Casino.
We are a Sportsbook and Casino platform that has operated for almost four years.
Since we started operating Betnomi, there hasn't been a single incident where a user played in our Casino, and the payout was refused
at least not that we can find.
However, it's a different issue with the Sportsbook. Sportsbooks are a complicated product and operation to run.
With over 250k monthly Sports events, there is a lot of room for fraudulent users to exploit the product by doing,
Arbitrage Betting, Sure Betting, Late Betting, Fixed Match Betting, Betting on dropping Odds (Odds Manipulation), and many more
It's a dicey situation, and we need to be on the lookout for these kinds of users hunting and abusing Sportsbooks as their daily job.
There are different approaches to dealing with the situation.
Some Sportsbooks payout anyways and close/limit those accounts afterward because they generate enough profits to compensate for that and preserve their reputation.
Another solution is not to offer only major leagues and very few markets this way, there is less room for abuse (most popular solution)
Our solution is to offer everything. We want to give our users the maximum number of available Sports events and markets because
we don't think allowing these abusers to force us to reduce sports offerings is a good decision. There are periods/ seasons where major events don't occur; in those periods, we want our users to have to option to bet on minor leagues as well. This is why on any day, anytime, our Sportsbook has multiple times the number of events on any other sportsbook.
This then leaves our Sportsbook wide open for abuse; if you ever wonder why the reports/complaint rate may be higher than other Casinos, this is why.
For the most part, we have regular players who play all the time without any issues whatsoever, but occasionally, abusers jump in and try to exploit the freedom and flexibility we offer.
In such cases, of course, depending on the nature of the abuse, we request KYC and other things and pay them out to ensure they are not back doing the same thing, and this mostly resolves the problem. However, some of these users refuse to comply and try to file reports and use pressure tactics to get away with their fraud.
As previously stated, we will not let a few bad apples ruin the fun for everyone, and we will continue to offer lots of markets and monitor the Sports platform for abuse;
when we find it, we will take the appropriate action, including KYC, implementing limits, and or outright closing those accounts.
We can conclusively state not one time did a legitimate user play on our Sportsbook and run into an issue.
Some people may ask how we know whether a user is fraudulent or legitimate; We have an internal risk management team and an external risk management service provided by the sportsbook data feed provider, with over 200 risk management professionals monitoring the sportsbook for other 3000+ partners.
We only consider a user fraudulent and take action only if our internal assessment matches what the third-party provider gives us on the user.
Our confidence score is 100% regarding risk management decisions, there is zero percent chance we miscategorize a user.
The people that encounter these problems are professional Sportsbook abusers whose daily job is to look for opportunities to exploit.
If that is your job, then we are not the platform for you; otherwise, everyone is welcome and should have a smooth gaming experience at Betnomi.
In the next few weeks, we have a lot to share with everyone regarding the future of Betnomi, and it's exciting.
Regards,
Betnomi.
