I think Erik Ten Hag also did that, but is targeting a top 4 finish easy? I don't think so, because it won't reduce their competition with other teams who also want that place. The European League will be their next target, because their chances there are also quite large.
Yes, the defeat to Liverpool yesterday was indeed very embarrassing, but they must quickly forget about it and return to focusing on the other matches they will have.
Regardless of what they got against Liverpool, Ten Hag's performance can still be said to be good and as you said, being in the top 4 is definitely not something easy and this can be used as a real lesson for Ten Hag that his path is actually still quite long. steep so don't be too complacent now.

Erik ten Hag is an absolutely successful manager.  I am sure of that.  Manchester United has a big role in reaching this level.  Of course, although Liverpool's defeat was a great disappointment, I am sure that they will achieve success that will make them forget it.  I think it will be enough for Manchester United to achieve their first four goals this year.
Evidence that the old trophy they never got before has at least got it back even though in terms of the trophy it doesn't seem too important for some big clubs but for Manchester United who seems to want to restart their steps to become a club to be feared it's clear that is something good.
This is Ten Hag's first season and his condition has improved a lot in terms of performance compared to before so there is no reason to say he is bad now.
