Yup, it can be eaten; it's a sugar cookie. I sliced the dough with a small knife and a home-made stencil. It took about 8 attempts before finally baking one that I was happy with. My wife had the idea to brush it with apricot jelly/jam and put it back in the oven to get some nice color on it. There was a small mishap in the kitchen and my favorite one was dropped/damaged, so we had to use my second favorite one instead.
