Bitcoin mining, which is necessary to validate transactions on the blockchain, requires significant amounts of energy. Critics argue that the energy consumption associated with Bitcoin is unsustainable and contributes to climate change.
what do you think?
I think the only thing critics do is criticize mining by not checking the information about it well enough. Maybe even these are corrupt critics who deliberately spread negative information about bitcoin in order to discredit in the interests of certain individuals.
There have already been discussions on this forum (and not only) that the harm attributed to btc is overestimated. That is, the impact of mining on the environment is less significant than the media tries to present.
If you use renewable energy sources for mining, then of course it is environmentally friendly. Don't forget that car exhaust gases, which are common for our time, do more harm to the environment than mining, but for some reason critics don't focus on this.
