I won't answer the first question, but I opened my freebitco.in account at the end of 2017 and have had a significant balance in it for approximately 5 years.
I am guessing you never had any problems with them if you are comfortable hodling that much in there.
Out of interest i want to ask that have you done any KYC for them since you had a significant enough balance for 1 btc interest.
Or have you tried to withdraw any significant amounts? I am just determing if they would ask kyc in that situation.
