Banks in Pakistan will be closed on Friday, March 24, 2023 for Zakat deduction. This is in addition to the public holiday on March 23 for Pakistan Day and the weekend. All employees will still attend work, except for public dealing. Some commercial bank branches will remain open on Saturday

SBP Announces Bank Holiday.

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Tuesday announced that banks across the country would remain closed on Friday due to Zakat deduction.

“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed for public dealing on Friday (March 24, 2023), which shall be observed as a ‘Bank Holiday’ for the purpose of deduction of Zakat,” a notification issued by the central bank said.

Therefore, the central bank will remain closed for four days as March 23 (Thursday) is also a public holiday on account of Pakistan Day and the SBP remains closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Usually, a bank holiday is observed on the first day of Ramadan, however, the central bank mentioned that “since the first of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, 1444 AH is likely to fall on Thursday, March 23, (already being a public holiday).”

Therefore, all banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), and microfinance banks (MFBs) shall, therefore, remain closed for public dealing on the afore-mentioned date.

However, all employees of the banks, DFIs and MFBs will attend the office on bank holidays treating it as a normal working day (except for public dealing).

Meanwhile, those branches of commercial banks which remain open on Saturday will continue to do so.

Rom me badal do

I'm sorry, I didn't understand what you are asking me to do. Can you please provide more information or clarify your request?

State Bank of Pakistan(SBP) ne mangal ko ilan kiya ke mulk bhar ke banks Zakat katwane ke bais bank band rahenge. 'Pakistan ke state bank public dealing ke liye Jumma (24 March, 2023) ko band rahega, jo Zakat kaatne ke liye 'Bank Holiday' ke tor par manaya jayega," central bank ne ek notification jari ki.
Issi tarah 23 March (jumeraat) Pakistan Day ke silsile main public holiday ke tor par mana jata hai aur SBP saturday aur sunday ko band rehta hai, isliye central bank chaar din tak band rahegi.
Mamool ke mutabiq bank holiday Ramadan ke pehle din ko mana jata hai, lekin central bank ne zikr kiya ke 'Ramadan-ul-Mubarak ka pehla din 1444 AH jumeraat, 23 March ko hone ke imkan hai, jo pehle se hi public holiday hai'.
Isliye sab banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), aur microfinance banks (MFBs) iss tarikhe ko public dealing ke liye band rahenge.
Lekin, banks ke tamam employees, DFIs aur MFBs bank holidays par office main haazir honge aur ise normal working day ke tor par count kiya jayega (public dealing ke ilawa).

Iske ilawa, commercial banks ke woh branches jo saturday ko khule rehte hain, woh aise hi khule rahenge."
